Hi, I'm Valerie!

I’m a London based photographer capturing portraits of women, things they create, and stories that live between the two.

I’ve always been fascinated by how much of a woman can be seen in what she brings to life. The love poured into her family, her vision behind a collection, her passion behind an idea. These things all contain pieces of her, whether she realises it or not. However, since becoming a mother something has become blatantly apparent to me: despite putting in all the effort into creating picture perfect life for herself and all she cares for, she herself is often missing from the photographs.

I'd like to change that. I aim to create portraits that feel honest, beautiful and deeply personal. I want to capture images of women not just as they are, but through what they love, make, nurture and bring into the world.

And perhaps most importantly, I want the woman behind it all to be in the picture.
